Spokesperson/Media Training WorkshopsOver the years, Guthrie/Mayes Public Relations' media training program has bolstered the confidence and improved the performance of many business and community leaders as they face cameras, microphones and notepads. Our media training team consists of professionals who have extensive background as newspaper editors and reporters and television news directors. Their experience enables them to provide insight on every aspect of media relations -- including conducting news conferences, one-on-one interviews and crisis communication. The many subjects covered during the workshop include the development of "talking points" or key messages, answering negative (or biased) questions, staying on "your" subject, researching the reporter prior to an interview, body language and appropriate attire for television. These day-long, hands-on workshops are designed for one to six trainees and include a "working" lunch where review and discussion occurs. Information provided in advance enables us to tailor the session closely for the current, real world circumstances of each client. | |
